Sarah recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences is with focus on public international law, international relations, and international peace security.  Always chasing the latest research, news, reports, books, and events, Sarah is committed to utilizing academia as a tool for empowering intellectual awareness in the coming Lebanese generation. With a strong background in research, policy analysis, and academia, Sarah leads the Phoenix Daily with strong trust in the team’s ability to create meaningful impact. She is the awardee of the World Youth Democracy Award of 2020 awarded by the German Federal Agency for Civic Education.

Mohamad Ghandour

Mohamad Ghandour

Secretary

Mohamad has recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in business with a concentration in accounting.. Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Accounting and Financial Management at The University of York.  He always has an eye for current news events, business articles and much more. Mohamad is looking to help increase awareness in the up and coming new Lebanese generation through the use of academia and technology. He is the awardee of the World Youth Democracy Award of 2020 awarded by the German Federal Agency for Civic Education..

Jana Al Hassanieh

Director of Learning and Development (L&D)

Jana is an Environmental Sciences graduate student at AUB, specializing in Environmental Health. She is currently a graduate research assistant at AUB. Simultaneously, Jana is a former research assistant at the United Nations ESCWA and a former environmental specialist intern at the Lebanese Ministry of Environment. Combining her passion for research and experience in professional development, Jana aims to lead the interns towards developing their research and writing skills at The Phoenix Daily, while enlightening the readers of her publications on environmental affairs and social justice concerns.

Adonis Al Sahyouni

Administration and Media Assistant

Adonis is graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Sciences in History and Geography, currently pursuing a master's degree in executive business administration with a focus on remote work. Adonis is an enthusiast of art, cinema, and astronomy, he focuses on implementing creative designs to deliver the messages to the audience.

 

Maria Wehbe

Chief of the Internship Program

Maria Wehbe is a current undergraduate student at the American University of Beirut. She is studying Education, with a minor in English Literature and a teaching diploma in Special Needs Education. She has a special interest in children’s rights, the right of education for all, community wellbeing and service.

She has been in the scouts movement for the past 8 years and is the current Vice-President of the Education Student Society at the American University of Beirut.

She has a deep and profound love for organization and planners.
